It has been a very eventful year at Mega Braun Music. I relocated to
Arizona, wrote the production music for for a new "horror disk" commissioned
by Beyond Music Library, scored an the independent film "Night Shift", and
now I am sharing a story I know.
"When The Butterfly First In Love With The Flower." is an eternal love story
that like the title suggests tells the epic tale between two lovers that is
still in bloom today. It might seem like love and bliss in the garden
between these two today, but then maybe you haven't heard the whole story
yet. Even though the eternal flame of their love may have seemed
to flicker in time, what is a moment in the span of eternity? How much
can happen in a moment? What is a seeming eternity to the figures in a
terrible nightmare? Find out as the story is told.
I learned this story when I was very young. I am not sure however
whether it was a bee or a butterfly that taught it to me, but both always
seem to have a good story to share, so you are certain to enjoy it! I
have told several people portions of the story and eventually realized that
no one single person had heard all of the story yet. And what are
stories if not for the telling?
After the persistent yet gentle prodding of a few close friends to start
writing the story down, or "just do something with it", as one friend
suggested. I finally decided youtube might be the most fun. Writing is OK,
but I really enjoy telling the story more right now. Plus youtube will allow
me to share some of the music that goes with it too. It will not be hard to
see why clients call me for production music and NOT my video production
skills though. lol! I do hope to see it properly animated at some point. Who
knows, right? So until then I will do the best I can in the moment and keep
telling the story until it all gets told. I hope you enjoy it as much as I
enjoy sharing it!
Start Here: Part Four "That's Why We're Glad (For You)" Music and
video. Lyrics by Martin Barringer. Music by Martin Barringer &
Jonathan Miller aka "DJ Jovo"
Part Four is a great place to start if you ask me because I had the help of
some very talented young artists to help me with it and the song turned out
great I think! (get the
full story here.) Many thanks to Jonathan Miller, Donald Tick, Becky Best, for guest vocals!
Next: Part One "Once Upon A Time (or so it seemed ...)"
Narrated by Martin Barringer
Many thanks to Meez.com for their ultra simple animation
tools. I
thought if I could find something simple enough, without a tremendous
learning curve, that it might be more interesting for viewers than watching
my silly mug tell the story. I tried several free animation packages
and eventually concluded that Meez offered a good working solution for
me given the amount of story I have to share. I hope you enjoy!
